SGW was set up during the pandemic as an
opportunity to do one of the few things we could - get out and walk!

Since then we have organised annual walks and social events, brought people together and raised funds for good causes.

Each spring we organise a 3-day (50 mile + ) challenge around St George's Day in memory of our Scout leader (Rich's Dad). We donate funds raised to 4 key charities that were important to him, and give local grants to small charities in the areas of the walk that year.

Our story

After our first few walks we decided to set up St Georges Walk as a charity, with the aim of encouraging people to take part for their own physical and mental health, and to enjoy the experience of the great outdoors with new and returning friends.

Our activities are made possible by a small but committed team of volunteers.

We are a small team with a group of trustees who look after the overall management of the charity, and work with brilliant volunteers and supporters who make all our walks possbile
